Pretty Paper Ideas

Paper can serve many purposes at Your Destination Wedding.  Starting with your invitations all the way to your wedding favors.
Easy to pack or ship in advance paper can serve many purposes and add your personal touch to just about anything.
When selecting your invitations, you may choose to go with a "destination wedding" theme.
Your seating cards may or may not match the invitations, this is a personal choice.

If  you've arranged a few activities and get togethers for all your guests, you might want to print them up and place them in their welcome bags.

There's a variety of ways to decorate your reception with beautiful origami.  Using paper balloons are an inexpensive example.

My favorite use of pretty paper is personalized stationery you use to handwrite a thank you note to each guest and have it delivered to their rooms before they leave to go back home.

As always Your Destination Wedding Planner will have many more ideas for you.

Glam Up Your Glass

There are so many original and inexpensive uses for everything glass....
Brides who've just decided to have a Destination Wedding may feel overwhelmed when they start looking at the decoration packages their resort has to offer.
Below are a few simple yet elegant ideas.
From empty glass soda bottles which can serve as candle holders...

To mason jars full of flowers along the aisle, attached to the chairs closest to the aisle.

You'd be surprised how beautiful colored ribbon and floating candles look in a simple mason jar.

Why not slice some lime or lemon to add color to your glass centerpieces?

My all time favorite has to be filling a light bulb with a bit of water and a few dainty flowers.
They can be hung just about anywhere to add a bit more of an atmosphere and definitely keep your guests talking!

There's no need to stress about anything when it comes to planning Your Destination Wedding.

Aisle Style at Your Destination Wedding

You've decided to bring your decorations with you, to celebrate Your Destination Wedding.  Have you thought about decorating your aisle?  Or, you've chosen a package from the resort.. Does it include decorations for the aisle?
Many times the aisle is overlooked because you were concentrating on the tables and chairs, center pieces.
To avoid disappointment, think of your aisle too!
Things to take into consideration are - the time of day your walking down.  If you're getting married after the sunsets, why not line the aisle with lanterns?
If you're set on rose petals down the aisle, be very careful with your color selection.  Most of the bright colors will rub off on your dress if it's full length.
If it's an absolute dream of yours to have these petals down the aisle, you might want to consider going white.
If you've forgotten about the aisle all together or simply chosen to have no decorations there's nothing wrong with that either.  Your chairs and other decor will stand out that much more!
One of my personal favorites is puddles of petals by the chairs, not in the middle of the aisle.
Remember, it's a Destination Wedding, ANYTHING GOES!

Inexpensive Creative Ideas for Your Destination Wedding

There are so many ways to set a magical and exciting atmosphere for Your Destination Wedding, without spending a ton of money.  These ideas are easy to execute and most can be packed into your suitcase!
Below are a few of my favorites.

Ribbon can serve multiple purposes and packs easily.

Jazz up mason jars with strings of crystal.  Not only pretty they pick up hues from the ocean and sun you could never imagine.
Why not use a canoe as a beverage cooler?  I'm sure that will get your guests talking!!
And finally, what could be less expensive than sparklers?

Always be sure to take advantage of those things that are free..A beautiful sunset, the ocean and the beach or snow..

Remember to have fun with your guests and in your pictures which will last you a lifetime.
As always, Your Destination Wedding Planner will have many more ideas for you.
